Corpus Africa - Spoken

The Corpus África is a corpus of texts in the various national varieties of Portuguese of the African countries of the CPLP. This page presents the oral files of that corpus. Part of those files were recorded as part of the project itself, whereas other files were adepted from existing projects. Due to the nature in which the corpus was compiled, the corpus consists only of the transcribed text, without the corresponding sound files.

The corpus "Panorama do Português Oral de Maputo" (Panaroma of the spoken Portuguese of Maputo) was organized by Christopher Strout and Perpétua Gonçalves and concluded in 1997.


For the files from Mozambique, the corpus assembled by Perpétua Golçalves as part of her PhD thesis was digitalized.
