The defendant in this process is Francisco Chacón, a silversmith native to Malaga and resident in Sonora (Mexico). He was accused of bigamy for getting married twice: first in Jalisco (Mexico) to Catalina de Mezquita and later in Sinaloa (Mexico) to Mariana de Acuña.
