Thank letter sent from frei Filipe Soares, a monk, to Diogo Soares, a merchant who had noble origins.
The author thanks the addressee for the clothing he sent by his son; he agrees with the prospect of a travel on behalf of the addressee and promises to pray for him.
Diogo Soares, a merchant from Pamplona who lived in Goa, was persecuted for Judaism around 1558. He defended himself with witnesses that attested that he belonged to religious brotherhoods and with the argument that he had noble origins. He was later imprisoned in Lisbon and in 1551 he recognized his guilt. In 1565 he and his family were authorized to return to India.
