[1560-1570]. Carta de Alonso de Santiso, mareante, para Juan de Santiso.

Author(s) Alonso de Santiso
Addressee(s) Juan de Santiso
In English

Letter from Alonso de Santiso, a sailor, to Juan de Santiso.

The author reminds Juan de Santiso that they have an agreement, and informs him that his brother intends to negotiate it with him.

In 1572, Teresa Alonso brought a lawsuit against Alonso de Santiso. Pedro Fernández de Villalba, husband of Catalina de Verdeal, and Antonio de Somorrostro had rent out a house to Alonso de Santiso for six years. In 1572 this period had already ended, and Teresa Alonso demanded from Alonso de Santiso to leave the house. However, this claimed that, after the first six years, the owners of the house permitted him to keep living in that house, in exchange for the paying of a rent. His lawyer presented to the tribunal the lease of the house, from 1565, and this letter.
