In English | Letter from Simón Ordoñez Cantero, an attorney, to Baltasar Vallés. The author writes Baltasar Vallés, with whom he has a debt, to tell him that he has asked him more money then what he actually owes him, and that he still cannot pay him. Baltasar Vallés was a lawyer in the chancellery of Valladolid, and Simón Ordóñez was an attorney in the same court. Baltasar Vallés demanded from Simón Ordóñez 484 'reales de vellón', as a payment for what he had done for him in 1807. When Baltasar Vallés knew that Simón Ordóñez had been paid for a process, he demanded the money from him. This letter was presented as a proof of the reiterated postponements and pretexts given by the accused. In 1811, the tribunal ruled in favour of the plaintiff, and ordered to seize the money from Simón Ordóñez in order for his debt to be paid. |
