Addressee(s) | Benito Sotelo Pérez |
In English | Letter from Francisco Vázquez y Bóveda to Benito Sotelo Pérez, a dispersed captain of the militia. The author claims the payment of a debt by Benito Sotelo Pérez. Following a litigation between Benito Vázquez y Bóveda and Benito Sotelo Pérez for an inheritance and the payment of a debt, this process dates from 1804. Benito Sotelo Pérez owed 1400 reals to Francisco Vázquez y Bóveda, the deceased abbot of San Juan de Crespos. Benito Vázquez y Bóveda, the abbot´s brother, claimed the 1400 reals and provided this letter in order to prove the existence of such a debt. However, during the trial, it was proved that Benito Vázquez y Bóveda had refused his brother´s inheritance and therefore, he did not have any claim on the money. |
