Warning letter from friar António de São Lourenço, to Ângela Maria da Cruz, a nun.

The author tells the addressee that he was arrested but she can stop worrying because "the papers" (incriminating papers, presumably) have been destroyed. He asks her to warn his own family and to pray for him.

António de São Lourenço was arrested for heresy, but on his way to the Inquisition prison he managed to pass on a warning letter to a nun. Nevertheless, the note was intercepted
