Letter from Gaston de Iturralde, priest and perpetual vicar, to Juan de Murgui, vicar and Superior.
The author warns Juan de Murgui, vicar and Superior of the church of Magdalena de Zaragoza, about a conspiracy to kill Pedro de Castro e Miguel Violarte, and asks the addressee to inform Violarte about it.
The accused in this process was Juan Navarro, from Amposta (Tarragona). In 1583 he was accused of attempted murder by the Inquisition Tribunal of Zaragoza, because he had tried to assassinate Miguel Violarte, canon of the cathedral of Zaragoza and consultant of the Inquisition Tribunal, who had declared him guilty of robbery in a previous lawsuit. The proceedings are incomplete, so we cannot know if the accused was eventually condemned and which was the sentence.
