In English | Letter from Pedro Sampietro, rector, to Jerónimo Zatorre, notary. The author informs Jerónimo Zatorre that Francisco Las Ortigas went to Bárcabo (Huesca) to capture him. The accused in this process were Francisco Las ortigas, resident in Barbastro (Huesca), Sebastián Adrián, bailiff, and his son. In 1621 they were accused by the Inquisition Tribunal of Zaragoza for having detained Jerónimo Zatorre, notary, pretending to be «familiares» of the Inquisition Tribunal. This letter, written by Pedro Sampietro, rector of Bárcabo (Huesca) and sent to Jerónimo Zatorre, was handed over by the addressee as a proof. The proceedings are incomplete, so we cannot know if the accused were condemned and which was the sentence. |
