Author(s) | Ezequiel de Moura Veloso |

Addressee(s) | José de Moura Veloso |
In English | News letter from Ezequiel de Moura Veloso, an apothecary helper, to his brother, José de Moura Veloso. The author, writing from Coimbra to Évora, tells his brother all the new developments of the war between the liberals and the supporters of Dom Miguel. He is hopeful about a quick liberal victory. An apothecary helper, Ezequiel de Moura Veloso, was accused by José Ribeiro de Azevedo, the owner of a pharmacy, of using offensive language to refer to the Nation and the Majesty. The letter here published should prove such accusation. He also allegedly menaced the plaintiff with a knife. |
