In English | Letter from Juan Vázquez Somorrostro, ensign, to Gregorio de Cacho. The author asks Gregorio Cacho to act as intermediary in the collection of a debt. The lawsuit was brought in 1663 by Juan Vázquez Somorrostro, ensign and resident in La Coruña, against Juan de Insua, farmer and resident in San Esteban de Paleo (La Coruña). Juan Vázquez de Somorrostro paid Juan de Insua 63 eight-real coins for a shipment of wine, but the farmer sent him less wine then what they had agreed. The letter was provided by the applicant to show that he had a credit of 131 reales and 2 maravedís, or the corresponding amount of wine, with Juan Insua. |
