1793. Carta de Menezes para anónimo.

Author(s) Meneses
Addressee(s) Anónimo401
In English

Request letter sent by Meneses, a man running away from justice, to a non-identified friend of him who was in jail.

The author explains to his imprisoned friend that he tried to visit him in jail, but had to flee for fear of being himself caught. He asks news about the prisoners and ends with a request for his shoes because he is barefoot.

An imprisoned priest presented a complaint to the judge in which he accused the jail man. He presented four letters by and to the prisoners in order to prove his complaint.
