In English | Letter from Jerónimo del Capillos to Fernando Esteban Brandon. The author asks Fernando Esteban why he did not go to their appointment and he also apologises in case it was his own fault for not being on time. Fernando Esteban Brandon was accused of making scandalous comments about the Virgin, of blaspheming against the feasts in her honour and of breaching his duties as a Christian. He was accused and condemned to two years of prison, to the seizure of all his properties and to penance for being a judaizer and a blasphemous. The letter attached to the process documentation belongs to Jerónimo del Castillo, a friend of the defendant who he used to go with to Ana María´s Hostel. On the superscript there is an annotation from a different handwriting with a place and a date. |
