In English

Private note signed by Matilde and attributed to Anastácio, beneficiary of São Tiago, to an anonymous recipient.

The author gives the information about the name of a priest, apparently under a false identity.

Manuel de Sousa Palermo de Aragão sent a letter to the judge of Alcácer do Sal, Manuel Estanislau Fragoso, to which he attached a set of notes that he had received, allegedly written by Anastácio, "Beneficiado de São Tyago". This conclusion is due to the comparison with the handwritting of the latter, who thus was considered the author, although within the notes we can find one signature "Matilde" and a reference to a "father António". There is no procedural document that allows a broader context of these documents, and, also, it is not explained why Manuel de Sousa Paremo de Aragão has received them. They are wrapped in a sheet of yellowed paper with the final recipient's identification. There is no date on the card or the notes.

If there is no translation for the letter itself, you may copy the text (while using the view 'Standardization') and paste it to an automatic translator of your choice.
