Instructions letter from António Carvalho, who was in jail for making counterfeit money, to his aunt, Vitória Pinta.

The author complaints about a woman, apparently his wife, and asks for several things to be delivered to him in jail: money, a blanket, a bed sheet, a pair of woollen socks, and straw to make hats.

António Carvalho was arrested under the accusation of falsifying money and trying to teach the technique to others. Two women were also arrested because some counterfeit money was found in their possession.
