Family letter from Maria Luísa to Antónia Luísa, her mother

The author writes her mother asking her for 3 scarves and telling her that she knows the money was handed in.

«My dear beloved mother,

I have received your very dear letter through Raimundo and I have appreciated it indefinitely due to the consolation it brought me. I know you have received the money I sent you through fellow Jerónimo, but since you didn’t mention the rice I sent you through him too, I am not sure whether he lost it on the way. Recebi a sua estimadissima Carta pelo Raimundo a qual estimei infinitamente pela muita consolação que me veio dar. sei que foi entregue do dinheiro que lhe remetti pelo Compadre Jeronimo, mas vejo que VMce não me fala no Arrôz que tambem lhe mandei por elle, pelo que fico na incerteza se elle o perdêo pelo caminho.
