Love letter from Luís Nunes Tinoco, probably a priest, to a non identified addressee, a nun.

The author excuses himself before his lover, telling her how he couldn't resist a fake call to fight a duel.

The letter seems to have nothing to do with the Inquisition proceedings inside which it was kept. They regard a boys' master who was accused of sodomy and subsequently convicted by the Inquisition.
