Menace letter sent by Jorge Henriques, an overseer, to Diogo Nabo Pessanha, a judge.

The author commands the addressee to give him back a sum he received from a lady, his aunt, or else he will persecute him.

A judge was accused of bribery by the New Christians of Aveiro, men that he was supposed to arrest when ordered by the Inquisition to do so. He used to let them know in advance that they should flee, and received money for such service.
