Request letter sent by Manuel Rodrigues, a soldier who had deserted and was in prison, to António de Melo, a cadet in a Regiment.

The author complaints about the ones who put him in prison and asks for his addressee to help him.

An imprisoned priest presented a complaint to the judge in which he accused the jail man. He presented four letters by and to the prisoners in order to prove his complaint.
