Addressee(s) | Francisco de Santo Domingo Alonso de Santo Domingo |
In English | Letter from Cosme de Santo Domingo to his brothers Francisco de Santo Domingo and Alonso de Santo Domingo. The author reprimands his brothers for the lack of correspondence, specially for not replying to the letters regarding the loss of livestock. Nevertheless, he expresses his desire to return to Spain. In 1560, Alonso de Santo Domingo and his brothers, residents of Covarrubias, brought an action against Alonso de Aguilera, a knight from Cordova. They claimed the money that their brother, Cosme de Santo Domingo, had sent them from Chile. Upon his arrival in Spain, Alonso de Aguilera delivered only Cosme´s letters but not the money. The defendant was also accused by Alonso de Santo Domingo for the financial damage he was causing them due to the constant claims. The Court found in favour of Cosme de Santo Domingo´s brothers. |
