[1820-1830]. Carta de Francisco Romo para un personaje no identificado.

Autor(es) Francisco Romo
Destinatário(s) Anónimo536
In English

Letter from Francisco Romo to an unidentified addressee.

The author writes an unidentified addressee to tell him that he already is in Salamanca, and that he has sent him two letters from that city, which he hopes he has received.

The General Police Administration was closely monitoring the activities of foreign citizens residing in Portugal, also controlling their communications, in collaboration with the superintendent of the Posts. This letter is part of this intercepted correspondence from those Spanish military and intellectuals who, fleeing the absolutist Spain, had taken refuge in Portugal and were suspected of harbouring liberal ideas and of plotting to overthrow Fernando VII and establish a constitutional regime.

This letter is written in the same sheet of paper of the letter PSCR2790, signed by a Miguel. This second letter was written after the first, and we can suppose that the addressee of the two letters was the same.

If there is no translation for the letter itself, you may copy the text (while using the view 'Standardization') and paste it to an automatic translator of your choice.
